Sawyer

Sawyer’s life began when his parents fell in love and brought 9 new pups into the world. Sawyer is a mix of a pure-bred English Coonhound mommy and an American Bulldog daddy. This mix brought us our beautiful Sawyer-Roosky…and his size!!! He’s a gorgeous dog with a bark you can’t forget. Sawyer gets his size from his dad, and his red-ticked coat and floppy hound ears from his mom. When he spots something of interest in the woods or wants to alert you to something or someone coming to the house, he sounds the hound alarm and you can be assured any prowler won’t come near! Sawyer is very friendly and gets along with visitors great. Knowing Sawyer his entire life (all 3 years of it), we have come to the realization that he has the very basic needs of a large bull breed-LOTS of exercise, room to play, kids to romp with and owners who will give him lots of attention. Sawyer has lived with plenty of cats and is fine with them-but when the playful puppy comes out, he will try to provoke the cats into a game of chase… a swipe to the nose always teaches him a lesson! He’s usually more focused on food anyway. Because Sawyer is a large bull breed dog, he cannot be in a home with another male dog. He plays well with other dogs-all shapes and sizes-male and female alike, but he will always find the need to show he is the top male dog in the pack. Sawyer loves and is gentle with children.
