Sawyer (Sallisaw 17)

Meet Sawyer! Sawyer is a Border Collie and Shiba Inu, weighs around 46 pounds, and was born around 05/05/2022. Sawyer is a sweet dog, loves to sit in your lap or on a chair, and be petted. He loves playing with other dogs but needs a proper introduction and to be taught personal space sometimes! He is potty trained and crate trained. He knows basic commands like sit, lie down, and stay. He is very treat and food motivated. He loves all types of toys as long as he can chew on them a while! He does have some of the typical border collie traits embedded into his personality. He is fostered with other dogs (smaller ones), and foster says he can play a little rough with them. He is active, and would love to be a member of an active family. She has observed some resource guarding, but he is smart and she feels this is just something to be aware of and can be worked on. As is true of the border collie breed, they are smart dogs and do well with a lot of activity! He was in boarding while his foster mom was out of town and he assimilated very well into the medium and large sized dogs there. He is up-to-date on all vaccines and preventatives, neutered, and heart worm negative.
