Courtesy post Sawyer is a well-trained pointer mix boy of approximately 6 years old. He does well with most dogs based on the ones he's met so far. He has attended doggie daycare and has lived with another of the same gender dog for years. We do not know how he is with cats as he's never been in a home with one. Sawyer's family loves him dearly. Unfortunately the neighbor who shares their fence line has not been responsible in taking care of repairing the other side which causes Sawyer to get through. It seems that neighbors' children had teased poor Sawyer in the past as well :( In spite of all the family's efforts to repair their side of the fence and speak to their neighbor about their children's behavior, the neighbor refuses to cooperate. It's with heavy heart that they decide he would be in a better home that would not have the potential to put Sawyer in a bad situation. Sawyer now gets very anxious around children We do not recommend a home with children under high school age or any that visit, such as grandchildren, nieces and nephews, etc ...who would be under high school age. Sawyer would do best in a home that would have a privacy fence. Sawyer would do great in a quiet rural setting as an indoor companion as well.
