Oct 6 UPDATE: "Scruffy is now happy and excited to receive attention - he loves being petted, and even gives gentle kisses. He also enjoys being tickled and playing, this little guy has come a long way!"

-------------------------------------------------------------
Hiya! Scruffy here. Hey...where is here? With PALS? All right...as long as I'm not having to shack up under a bush or a behind garbage bins like the last year and a half. Yep, that's been my life for a long-long time now, and I can tell you, it hasn't been pretty.

But the PALS people say they're gonna help my real furever fambly to find me now, the people I was always meant to be with, who will love me and feed me and buy me pupperonis and toys and throw birfday pawties for me and all the stuff I've been missing.

I'm gonna go take a much-needed bath now and curl up on a soft bed, while I wait for ya - meanwhile, here's some more stuff the PALS people wrote about me:

"He is housetrained, walks well on a leash and is a very "polite" little guy.

Scruffy was a stray for quite awhile, so is still quite shy. Sudden movements startle him, and he appears to be afraid of some men - especially those wearing a uniform or with gruff voices. He LOVES women, a real ladies' man appawently. :) Initially, he seemed to be disturbed by other dogs but as he has become more socialized with them, he has become comfortable with other furkids.

Scruffy is current on vaccinations, and has been neutured and treated for parasites."

Scruffy's adoption donation is $100 which includes his neuter, deworming, and shots. For an indoor home only, please call or e-mail the PALS contact information located to the right to find out more about making this sweetheart a part of your family!

Please be patient with us - we're taking care of a lot of furkids - our own and the PALS kids - and we are all volunteers with families, homes and full time jobs. We'll return email and phone inquiries just as fast as we pawssibly can. Thanks!

ADOPTIONS: We don't let the fact that you might live out of state stop any adoption that's meant to be, but you MUST be willing to drive, or fly, all the way to pick up your new family member.

ADOPTION DONATIONS: Adoption donations for PALS animals go directly either to medical care for those or other furkids in need, or towards maintenance, supplies, and improvement of the newly-built shelter!
