Shadow

Meet Shadow, a 4.5-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier Mix. He weighs 60 pounds. Shadow is oneof our longer term residents and has been with us since March. Shadow arrived at the shelter as a stray. He is a friendly and happy pup who loves to play! He is also a tank of a dog, but only because he doesn't realize how big he is; he thinks he's a 5 pound lap dog, and we don't have the heart to tell him any different! Fetch is his game! Volunteer Megan says that "Shadow is a very good boy. He loves rope toys and tennis balls and is very interested in other dogs." He has done well with other dogs, but would benefit from meeting any potential doggy friends to make sure everyone gets along. Shadow will need an indoor home and a secure containment area to stay safe from wandering and escaping. Positive reinforcement, fear-free training will be needed. Daily exercise and mental enrichment will be very important. If you have other dogs in your home, we would be happy to arrange a meet and greet with your dog(s) to make sure everyone gets along. We do not know how he will do with cats. Shadow is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, neutered, and ready to go home today. The shelter is currently open by appointment only.
