Shelby is a very sweet three year old pepper salt giant schnauzer. She came to us when her owner was no longer able to care for her. She is pretty shy and will need a home that is quiet or at least understanding of her need to slowly acquaint herself to her new world. She has gotten along well with dogs since we have had her. She is on the small side for a giant schnauzer but has the harsher coat which is easier to care for. She seems to walk well on a leash but has not had any obedience training that we know of. That would be a good idea since it really helps to establish the bonding process with a dog and the new owner. We don't know how she is with really small children or cats but she came from a home with a 10 year old and got along fine with that child. Shelby likes to exercise, so if you are someone who likes to walk or jog, Shelby might just be the giant for you.
