Shelby is a sweet senior sheltie who, at 11 yrs old, become the victim of a family upheaval. He couldn't stay in his home so he came to rescue. He is used to being an only dog but has done fine in his foster home with one other sheltie.
He is healthy, happy, and would be the perfect dog for someone who just needs a loving friend. He is not patient with children so we will not place him in a home with small kids.

Greater Detroit Sheltie Rescue reserves the right to refuse any applicant, it is within our discretion to make these decisions on behalf of our dogs.
We do require a home visit and a veterinarian reference. Please contact your veterinarian to give them permission to release information to us. Once we have reviewed your application and received a favorable reference from your veterinarian, our adoption coordinator will contact you. Please be patient as this process could take several days.
