Meet Short Round. Short Round came to us as a stray so we don't have too much history on him. We have learned he is very high energy and shows some impulse control while walking on leash and his play his on the rough side. below is some more information on Short Round:
Behavior history summary: Short Round came into care in July 2024. During intake, Short Round tolerated handling for treatments, and displayed some reactivity toward other dogs. While in care, Short Round has displayed positive social behavior towards staff, predatory behavior towards small wildlife, and some hesitancy when navigating through thresholds, which has improved over time.
Cats: No known history.
Dogs: Short Round entered care with another dog. Short Round has not been introduced to other dogs while in care. Initially while in care, Short Round displayed two instances of reactivity toward other dogs (barking); since then, Short Round has navigated campus, including happening upon other dogs by surprise, without any reactivity observed.
Kids: No known history. With the high energy and impulse control Short Round has shown in care we would recommend Short Round go home with older children.
