Shylee

Meet Shylee- known as Koko by her foster family. A sweet silly lady with a heart of gold and eyes that will melt you looking for her forever home! She is currently in foster care, where she's waiting for a family who will cherish her and give her lots of snuggle and playtime! Koko is a smarty and is very motivated. She is also potty-trained and crate-trained. IN fact, she LOVES her crate when she's at home. And sleeps in it sometimes at night. She is dog selective- preferring the company of other soft/shy dogs at the moment. She goes to playgroups at APA and is coming out of her shell in the 'dainty and softy' playgroup. She can become excited and whine when she sees other dogs (and squirrels, lizards, etc) on walks-which the behavior team has diagnosed as "leash frustration." She is easily redirected with treats and changing the direction of the walk. Koko is a loving and affectionate dog who enjoys being close to her humans. She loves to be in the room wherever her people are and snuggle next to them if possible. Her snores are the cutest thing! She is an active lady who loves plush toys and will keep you laughing with her silly playstyle. Not to mention she will do her best to keep your yard completely squirrel-free! If you have a low to medium-traffic home with no small kiddos or cats, a yard, and perhaps have a gentle pup who you think would like a companion.. plus have some experience and patience with incorporating a shy, just a little unsure pup into a home with another dog, please consider welcoming Koko into your heart and home.
