Sierra - **SPONSORED ADOPTION**

Hello!!! My name is Sierra and I am around 2.5 years old and about 55lbs. I came from the shelter in Melfa, VA where I was for 3.5 months, after being found as a stray living on the highway for a month. Fast forward to today, -My favoritest thing in the whole wide world is being next to my people and get all the treats! Kids are a blast and submissive dogs are fun to play with too. No alpha dogs for me! You must keep in contact with our trainer to make sure she keeps on the positive path. **That being said, If you have a dog friend already in your home, and a proper and slow introduction. I have protective tendencies with new dogs/people coming in. So far in my Foster home, I am doing really well with the special needs kitty! I AM LEASH REACTIVE, I need my new human to continue helping me learn to walk past alpha and hyper dogs** You must be willing to work with our trainer at Smarty Paws Canine Care LLC If you have neighbors, I'd do best with a privacy fence. I would do best with kids over 8-10 years old. I get so happy and energetic at times, I get pretty zoomie and roll all over the couch and floor! You'll notice when I am tired of all my running around acting like an adorable fool, I want nothing more than a stuffie to suck on to sleep next to you and snore away my worries. The humans tell me how "stinkin cute" I am when I get this way. Not sure what that means but hey, I'll take it! -I can get whiney when I am bored or see another dog (I just get sooo excited). I do very well in my crate after a few minutes of detesting (aka screaming ) I do keep it very clean. So far I do very well with making sure all my accidents are outside only. I could use some leash manners, but an ez walk harness should do me some good. When we are in the car, I CALL SHOT GUN! I don't like to be behind my person. -Pleaseee oh pleasee put in an application to come meet me! I'd love to be your furever girl! We are a small based foster group who help dogs currently in VA, NC (more states soon) on death row find a second chance. Right now we will be running off of donations and fosters homes. So please be patient with us. You may apply to adopt if you are in a state that surrounds VA state lines! Adoption Contracts, and vet papers will be given at time of adoption. All dogs will be UTD on shots and spayed/neutered before going to their furever family! All adoption fees are considered donations! We do not do refunds on donations.
