Silverbelle

*** URGENT - NEEDS FOSTER / ADOPTER *** Silverbelle is a young dog that was saved from euthanasia at a rural NC shelter. She is a 35-40 lb., barely 1 y/o girl who has been moved around to various foster homes and boarding facilities and needs an active, experienced and strong leader that can keep her physically and mentally stimulated. She is URGENT because her most recent foster family sent her to the shelter because they live in an apartment complex and couldn’t give her the exercise, structure and training leadership that she needs. *** She is once again AT RISK of euthanasia if she is deemed unadoptable because no one wants to give her a chance to thrive and be successful ***. She is too young to die because humans so far have failed her. :,-( And now SHE REALLY NEEDS A SAVIOR ASAP. Although jumpy and over-excitable, Silverbelle does have the ability to settle down and calmly chew on a toy and cuddle with her person. IMPORTANT NOTE: As far as other dogs go, she has had problems making friends because she is so overbearing and demanding them to engage in exuberant/rough play that they get quickly irritated with her rudeness (failing to respect their cues that she needs to slow her roll a bit). As a result, when they try to correct her, she ignores those cues and it can escalate because the other dog gets understandably annoyed. She gets so hyper-focused and doesn’t seem to know when enough is enough. So, any other dogs in the home should be super tolerant of a dog like her that wants to play-play-play and roughhouse. We know that’s asking a lot, but we are holding out hope that her angel savior, her knight in shining armor is out there and steps up before it’s too late.
