Skylar was found after she sat on the roadside for at least 3 days. She actually constructed a nest of trash to sleep in which broke my heart. After a couples ugly separation one of them took the family's three dogs off their chains where they had lived their whole lives and dumped them in three separate locations. While Skylar came to us her two puppies who were now adults went to another local rescue. It was believed that she was pregnant when she came to RAVE however a quick ultrasound and x-ray proved that she was completely full of trash. Trash she ingested trying to stay alive. After getting treatment for her severe constipation, we were shocked by the shell of a dog that stood in front of us. Now she's a chunk who enjoys naps and cuddles. Skylar absolutely loves people and she loves going for car rides. Her love language is food and she likes short walks although we are working on her slight pulling issue. She is not dog or cat friendly. She will be required to go to an experienced owner because she can be a handful at times. We honestly feel that she would be much happier in the country living her life in a larger yard she can roam safely contained.
