PAWS has only a few kennels and when they are full, we ask the owners/finders of dogs needing rescue to please hold them. PAWS would like to pull this dog from the owner as soon as possible, to move forward in finding a Forever Home for the dog. Until we do, this pet's pictures and bio are listed herein in the hopes that a rescue may be interested. Once we have a place for the dog to go, we will pick up the dog, and proceed with transport and re-homing.
SMUDGE: SMUDGE IS ABOUT 18 MOS OLD. SHE WAS FOUND AS A STRAY PUP AND IS A BELOVED HOUSETRAINED, ALTERED HOUSEPET. HOWEVER, HER OWNER HAS HORSES WHICH SMUDGE, DUE TO HER BREEDING, THINKS NEED TO BE BITTEN ON THEIR HEELS (BLUE HEELER BEHAVIOR). THIS WOULD BE FINE IF SHE LIVED WITH A FARMER TRYING TO DRIVE CATTLE, BUT NOT GOOD FOR HORSES! HER OWNER IS HEARTBROKEN, SMUDGE IS A GREAT DOG, JUST TRYING TO DO HER JOB BUT NOT IN THE RIGHT HOME! SO SMUDGE NEEDS TO FIND ANOTHER HOME. SHE WOULD DO GREAT IN AGILITY OR OTHER COMPETITIVE DOG SPORTS. SMUDGE IS FULLY UTD ON HER VACS, 32 LBS AND ALTERED.
