Spencer

This handsome boy is Spencer! He recently came to us from a shelter and is guessed to be 1-2 years old and possibly a Lab mix of some kind. Maybe a little hound in there? Who knows! We do know he's 100% cute and a total sweetheart though. Spencer has been with his foster family about 1 week, and so far he appears house trained and kennel trained...no accidents here! (He needs to be bribed into the kennel with a treat, but then is fine once he's in there haha.) Spencer has done great with all people he's met (he hasn't met any really young children yet, but we anticipate he'd do well if they are respectful of dogs) and loves to get pets and cuddles! He's mostly been around dogs about his size, and he has done well. He's about 40lbs and medium sized. He hasn't been cat tested, but he does show interest in chasing birds outside, so I'd guess he might chase cats. He'd probably be best not living with them just to err on the side of caution. Spencer is a wannabe lap dog inside, and so far hasn't shown much interest in toys. Outside, however, he loves to run and explore....and check his "pee-mail" messages! He would love his forever family to have a fenced in yard, or at least be very active in the outdoors. Spencer is good at sitting for treats and is a very smart boy, but would benefit from continued basic manners training such as loose leash walking and not jumping up on people.
