Spirit

Spirit is a beautiful, unique-looking, approximately 2-3 year old Shepherd mix. Spirit was adopted a few months ago, but unfortunately, the family needs to rehome home. As much as they love him, they are not able to meet his needs and would like a find him a family that can give him the time and attention he craves. Spirit is an incredible dog, full of personality. He's been professionally trained, is extremely smart, and very friendly. He is best in a home with older children. He loves walks, car rides, going on adventures, playing fetch and even playing with other dogs that match his energy level. He is in a home with other dogs and does well with them. He is also housebroken and crate-trained. However, Spirit seems to have some separation anxiety and needs a home where someone can keep him company pretty much all of the time. Additionally, Spirit recently started having seizures and will require medication for the rest of his life (the seizures have stopped now that he's on the medication). While all of this may seem like a lot to deal with, we assure you when his needs are met, Spirit is amazing! He will be a loyal and loving companion and will thank you every day for your commitment to him. Spirit is looking for a dog-savvy, experienced owner who will understand his needs and can give him plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. The ideal home for Spirit would have someone who is home most of the time (or could take him to work with them) with a large fenced yard. Spirit is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines.
