Stanley

Stanley is a sweet eight month old male giant who use to live with three mini schnauzers. One of the minis is alpha and didn't like Stanley at all. The two didn't get along and with great sadness, the family decided that the younger dog, Stanley, would have to be rehomed. It was not an easy decision. Stanley is a sweet dog who has been well loved and cared for who will need to be socialized with dogs and people which all giant schnauzers need to be well rounded dogs. Stanley knows how to sit, shake hands, wait in his crate to be fed, and some other commands. He LOVES water and to swim. He has been around children but hasn't lived with them. He is house trained and needs a job. Do you have a home where you would work with him and give him a job of some sort to do?

Stanley won't be placed with small dogs or male dogs. He needs a female dog close to his own size to play with. And that will be a learning experience for him. He will be with us for several weeks while we evaluate him and determine what would be the best home for him.

We just took Stanley into rescue so we will be learning more about him. We don't know how he is with larger dogs but will not place him with smaller dogs. Nor do we know about cats. But he is a very sweet boy who is looking for someone's feet to rest his head on while you sit and relax knowing that Stanley is there just hanging around with you. He is a young giant with many years of love to give. He does love being a lap dog who just can't get all of himself in your lap. Just don't tell him that.
