My Story

Stewart came to Wescue from a shelter where he was taken as a stray. He was severely underweight and heartworm positive. He is currently being fed several small meals throughout the day to get him back to a healthy weight and then he will go through heartworm treatment. Stewart is content to follow you around and enjoys his walks. Are you looking for a sweet senior foster dog? Apply online at wsrh.com to be part of Stewart’s story. Stewart has received core vaccines and has been microchipped. He will be neutered and get a dental when the dogtor says he is healthy enough. WSRH will provide food and supplies for Stewart while in foster care and will cover his heartworm treatment, neuter, and dental at one of our partner vet clinics. Stewart’s suggested adoption donation is $250 and includes 6 months heartworm preventative meds, prepaid lifetime premium microchip registration, and a safety harness If you are interested in meeting and/or fostering or adopting Stewart, please apply online at wsrh.com Please do NOT send inquiries via Adopt A Pet or PetFinder as we are a small rescue and cannot handle a large number of inquiries. If you have a specific question, please email us at [email protected] but in order to be considered for adoption, you must complete an application. All dogs are available until “Adoption Pending” is noted next to their names. WSRH DOES NOT HAVE A PUBLIC SHELTER. ALL OF OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN PRIVATE HOMES. Approved adopters only will be invited to meet the dogs.
