Stiles, a year-old shepherd mix was pulled from a high kill shelter because he is a sweetheart who is super friendly and playful. He has a brown and white medium length coat and weighs 43 pounds. He is comfortable with other dogs and kids. It is not known if he has met a cat.Shepherds are known for their intelligence and sense of loyalty. They tend to be athletic and active, always liking to do something, so they will need ample daily exercise. They also need mental stimulation to prevent boredom and lots of attention from his family. He would do well with an active family. As can be understood, little is known about his previous life. As to house, leash, or crate training they are all works in progress. He will need time to adapt to new routines and a new home. Patience and treats will go a long way in helping him reach his potential.A secure back yard would give him free time to play and burn off extra energy. He probably would enjoy visits to a local dog park, too. Stiles will make a great family dog with lots of potential to love everyone. He looks forward to being a valued family member.
