Storm

Storm lucked out. He is being fostered by an obedience / agility trainer. He's not aggressive at all even with two unneutered males that live at her place. He totally ignores the horses that are there and in the next yard. The cows aren't there now but they would likely be ignored as well. He's not met her cat but has been around other little dogs and doesn't bother them so probably would be fine with cats. He loves to be with people and she thinks he may be house trained. He seems quite happy to be in her kennel and happily goes into it each night with no problem. Does not bark or whine. He sticks around the yard and has no inclination to wander off. He's pretty exuberant the first 10-20 minutes after being let out of the pen in the morning, but is fine after that initial burst of energy - no jumping up on her. He was left in the yard with just one of the dogs the other day and within about 20 minutes was just happily lounging up on the porch. He's followed her dogs around on some of the agility toys and seems to like jumping the jumps and playing on the teeter totter (I think that's because the other dogs got lots of praise and attention after doing the toys so he figured that was a good way for him to get some too). He's not much into fetching or playing with other toys though and there's lots of that sort of stuff that goes on at Heathers with all the other labs there so he pretty much just lets them do the fetching. He will run and chase the toys when thrown but he isn't usually the guy that gets there first and even if he does, he lets the others take the toy and bring it back instead of keeping it himself. She figures he'd make a great indoor/outdoor dog. Adopted April 23/06
