Hi my name is Sugar . I am a female Vizsla boxer mix who is 12 months old. I weigh approximately 50 pounds. I was brought here to HSMC after being saved by the nice people at animal services. I am highly intelligent, eager and quick to learn. I am reliable with children, other dogs, but I am not sure about cats, because I really do not know what they are. I love all the play I can get, but I also have a laid back streak to my personality. I was named Sugar because I am such a sweet doll baby who just needs a little help in finding my forever home. I enjoy listening to every word you speak, giving smiles and entertaining anyone who will watch. I will be waiting to met you.

To ensure the HSMC animals are placed into permanent homes, we have a few adoption requirements.

Complete an adoption application.

Present photo identification with current address.

Provide verification that animals are allowed in your home. To do this, you must provide one of the following:

Your landlord's name and telephone number and a renter's lease if available.

Proof of home ownership (a deed, mortgage paper, payment book)

All family members who will be living with the animal must be present at the time of adoption.

Show proof that companion animals that are currently living in the home are up-to-date on rabies and distemper vaccinations or your veterinarian's name and telephone number.

All adoption fees include sterilization, a permanent identification to help protect animals from loss or theft called a microchip, primary vaccinations and a certificate for a free veterinary examination.

Our services don't come to an end once an adoption match is made! We continue our commitment to the animals by providing follow-up calls that offer individual support during the animal's adjustment to a new home. We also offer classes to teach basic obedience commands and our pet behavior seminars offer problem solving and prevention for owners or those considering adoption.
