Sunny is a 3 year old, 65-pound Great Pyrenees mix, most likely mixed with something labby and boxerish, but who knows what else. Sunny came to us after having been shot, but by the time she got to us, the leg she was shot in was not fixable as the damage was not new enough to repair. She will always walk with a limp as a result but she can run like the wind when she wants to.
Despite this background, Sunny is the sweetest girl ever. She is friendly with all people and she is easy going and mellow. She does enjoy playing, but she is not remotely hyperactive and she is happy to crash out and hang with you on a Netflix binge. She won't judge you for watching trash TV and her lips are sealed about your true crime doc fixation. She has excellent indoor manners and is housebroken. Sunny had dog companions in her home before coming to us, but she is best as an only dog now. She is tolerant of cats, even if they don't appreciate her. We do think given her injury that a home with kids over 12 is best for her. A fenced yard is a must for her as she is 100% not trustworthy off leash.

All known information about an individual dog is provided in its listing. We do our best to provide accurate information, but adopters should understand that each home is different and the dog may behave differently in a new home. Dogs are creatures of their environment and you help make the dog what it will be.
All dogs require supervision with children and obedience training. Adopters that want to have good dogs must be prepared to put the time and effort into training a dog. Any dog requires work and effort, but a well trained, well-socialized dog is more than worth the effort to get them there.
