My Story

Please contact Nancy Anderson ([email protected]) for more information about this pet.the sweetest pea of a pup!! SWEET PEA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Come meet Sweet Pea and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (Aug. 4th) from 12-3 pm at the Petsmart in Alexandria (3351 Richmond Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22305)! Name: Sweet Pea Best Guess for Breed: Lab and Chesapeake Bay retriever mix Best Guess for Age: 1 year as of July 2024 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 43 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen Sweet Pea with kids or children but she can be tested if you have them. Currently Living at: DC area foster home Sweet Pea is Looking For: Her forever home! This cutie with the well-deserved name is an awesome pup with all that amazing young-dog energy. She is eager to explore the neighborhood - the local parks - the world! - with her new humans. She's great in shelter playgroup with other dogs, so she'd love opportunities to make both people and pup pals along the way. Doggie daycare, dog parks, pupdates - they all sound good to her! She wants to go to dog school too, so she can show how super smart she is. Most of all, though, she just wants to be safe and loved and under her own roof. In exchange she promises adoring gazes and loyal companionship for all her days - oh and to always make you laugh too! What do you say? Is Sweet Pea the one you see by your side on all your adventures? What My Foster Says About Me: Sweet Pea loves an adventure. Whether it is to jump in the car and go walk around Home Depot or to splash in the pool on a hot day- she's happy to do it all. She loves meeting people and other dogs. Takes direction from her older resident dog and knows when to back down. She sleeps well in her crate at night and enjoys a nice nap on her dog bed. She's a water loving dog who would happily jump in the pool with you! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
