ADOPT SWEETIE intake date 2/17/22- Our second longest term dog in the program. When we got Sweetie, she was found as a stray and the finder put her in the backyard where other dogs came into her yard and mated her because she was in heat. By the time she made it to us, she was terrified, stressed, thin, and had a UTI, and very swollen lymph nodes. We got her healthy and her first few dog tests didn't go well. After she was comfortable, and she felt more secure, we figured out that Sweetie in fact does like other male dogs and is just selective about females. We believe her to be a husky pit mix at about 58 lbs and. Sweetie is pushing 4 years old now and has spent half her life in boarding and a foster home and has never had a single application. She is quirky, adorable, and sometimes a wrecking ball. But she loves with all her might and is happy to just lounge in the backyard all day long if you let her. She currently has a dog door and chooses to remain in the yard except for brief couch zoomies, water and right back outside for squirrel patrol.
