My Story

Update 5/24/09: Say hello to Sweetie, a gorgeous Yellow Lab, who looks full bred, and LOVES people. Our best guess is that she's a little over a year old. She weighs in at 56 pounds and gets along well with other dogs. She's in search of an active home, since once of her favorite things is running and exploring outdoors. She thinks her foster family's fenced yard is the greatest thing ever.

Sweetie has charmed her foster family. She's done very well with their children, who range in age from 4 to 10. She seems mostly even-tempered and happy, and surprisingly, for a Lab, not very food driven, and not destructive.

Sweetie rides in the car nicely - she usually falls asleep. She can sit on command. Her house training is coming along well, and she sleeps through the night without a problem. She walks very well on a leash, except when she's excited about sighting a small animal. She finds squirrels and other critters a bit irresistible, so we recommend a home without cats.

She loves to be included in everything. She'd probably do well in an active household, because she does have a normal, healthy amount of young dog energy. Sweetie should make a wonderful family dog.

Sweetie is a young Yellow Lab (looks full bred) that just had a gorgeous litter of puppies!! She is looking for a home along with all her pups. She is scheduled to arrive in New England on 5/9/09.
