My Story

*****Update***** My foster mom wanted me to let everyone know that I finally braved those big scary flaps and am officially what she calls "housebroken"? Hey wait a minute, I didn't break the house..those holes to the outside were already there before I showed up! Well, anyway, my foster mom said she is very proud of my latest accomplishment. Hi, my name is Tallulah Belle. I was rescued from what my foster mom calls the E-List. That must be E for Extra Special J right? My foster mom says I was very frightened and so was not on my very best behavior but someone at Animal Control thought I was still worth saving. I am a mix of Chihuahua and Mexican Hairless, or the formal name Xoloitzcuintli. I like that better, it’s from the ancient Aztecs. I weigh only about 5 lbs and am about 1 & ½ years old. I make up for my small stature with a very big attitude. I should not be with children under 15 years and although I might tolerate some small dogs like myself, I like to be the queen of my castle and I choose my court carefully. I’m not too fond of kitties, I chase them around and bark at them. What I love is to roll the tennis ball around and chase after it and then I pick up all the toys that are 3 times bigger than me and drag them into my bed and pile them up. Even though my foster mom says they aren’t all mine, I know they are. I love all my toys and have a great time entertaining myself. I rub on my foster mom like a cat and give her sideways kisses. That’s where my tongue comes out the side of my mouth and kisses her! I sure do make my foster mom laugh a lot. I do have some issues with being away from my humans and hoping to find someone who is home most of the time. I am crate trained, and working on the doggie door, it’s kind of a big one with pretty scary big flaps since I have a really big foster sister. If my foster mom ever sits down, she will let me curl up in her lap and I really like that; but not if one of my foster siblings tries to come up too, well…unless they were there first, then that’s ok. Sometimes I just like to sleep in my little bed or on the top of the sofa, I feel tall there! My foster mom says if you are gentle and have patience, you could be my new forever home. I would sure love to meet you! If you are interested in adopting me, please contact my foster mom at [email protected]
