Talullah came to Save the Dalmatians as an 8 week old puppy in August 2017. In addition to being deaf, it was found that she had 2 serious heart conditions and we initially did not think she would survive. However over time she continued to grow and act like any other dog. We brought her to a cardiologist where it was found that the two heart conditions are actually what is keeping her alive. One counter acts the other.
Tallulah is part of our Forever Foster Program for dogs that are not likely to be adopted. We find wonderful foster homes willing to foster for the life of the dog while we provide financial support for medical/veterinary needs. These are wonderful dogs who through no fault of there own are unable to find permanent homes in a timely manner; usually due to age, medical and/or special needs.
Twice a year she sees the cardiologist for a check up and evaluation of her prescription medicines. Talullah is being permanently fostered by one of our 2 time adopters, who has deaf dalmatian experience.
