My Story

Tank is a stunning 3-year-old (DOB: 5/28/21) mix with a lineage as unique as his personality. With a genetic makeup of 50% American Pit Bull Terrier, 22.5% Gray Wolf, 11.3% Alaskan Malamute, 8.3% German Shepherd, and 7.9% Siberian Husky, Tank is truly one-of-a-kind. This beautiful boy is up to date on all his vaccinations, on heartworm preventative, and weighs a healthy 60 pounds. Since joining his current family at just three months old, Tank has grown into a loyal and loving companion. He's great with other dogs and is wonderful with family members, including children. While Tank hasn't had the chance to meet any cats, his friendly disposition suggests he might do well with a proper introduction. Tank is the epitome of a "Velcro dog"—he loves to be by your side at all times, often found sitting on your foot or following you from room to room. This constant companionship means you'll never feel alone with Tank around. Fully housetrained and crate trained, Tank is a well-behaved pup who understands the importance of routine. While he prefers to sleep on the floor in the bedroom, you'll often find him snuggled up in bed by morning. He responds promptly to the command "crate" when it's time to leave, ensuring he remains safe and secure. Despite his many wonderful qualities, Tank struggles with high anxiety and is easily frightened by a variety of things, including garbage cans on collection days, boxes, sudden movements, and unfamiliar objects in your hand. When scared, Tank's natural response is to run away with his tail tucked, seeking safety. Tank needs a new home with someone who has the patience and strength to help him manage his fears. He knows basic commands and walks well on a leash under calm circumstances. However, when his anxiety is triggered, his obedience falters, and he may pull on the leash to escape perceived threats. Tank's ideal adopter is someone who can provide a calm, stable environment and has the strength to handle his moments of fear. With the right person, Tank has the potential to thrive and become an even more loving and devoted companion. If you have the patience and strength to give Tank the loving home he deserves, he will reward you with unwavering loyalty and affection. Could you be the perfect match for this special boy?
