My Story

8.23.09 - FHO Surgery complete and Taylor is ready for foster care and love. She has a rescue and will transport this week. UPDATE: Her foot is not hurt but she is in desperate need of FHO surgery to help her walk properly again. Apparently she was hit by a car and left untreated. Her left rear leg/femur is out of socket and very painful. She is such a nice girl and needs surgery/FHO ASAP. Taylor is spayed and HW neg, approx 2 years old and sweet.

Taylor is a sweet girl about 35 lb. Her story: owner is now in jail and Taylor was left in a pen. Neighbor was going to adopt her, but called the Pound to pick her up instead. She gets along with the other dogs and is probably about a year old. She seems to have a booboo on her left rear foot that we need to have checked out. She isn't bearing weight on it at this time. Taylor doesn't understand what happened to her owner, won't you please give her a new home? She doesn't deserve to pay the price for the wrongs of previous owner.

Dogs in the Rowan County K-9 Shelter receive their first dhppl vaccination (parvo/distemper) upon arrival at the pound. Rabies vaccine and spay/neuter surgery can be done for the $50 adoption fee. Please note rabies vaccine and surgeries are NOT done on site and dogs must be adopted before they receive rabies vaccine or surgery.
