ADOPTED! - Don't you agree that these two little guys are as cute as a bug's ear? Teeny and Weenie are Long Haired miniature Doxie brothers who were born in mid-November. They came to us (from a puppy mill breeder) with demodectic mange, but that problem is resolved and the hair they lost is starting to grow back now. These furbabies are so sweet and cuddly, and because they are very little (Weenie presently weighs 5 lbs. and Teenie weighs 4 lbs.) they depend on each other to feel safe, so we would like to adopt them out together as a pair. They will need a safely fenced yard (please, no invisible fencing) and--since they are just puppies who aren't totally housebroken yet--they need to be adopted by someone who works out of his/her home, is retired, or works out of the home, so that they can be taken out to go potty on a regular and frequent basis. Teeny and Weenie would do best in a home without small children, only because we are afraid that--due to their small size--they might be inadvertently injured by youngsters. Teeny and Weenie have been wormed, microchipped, and immunized. They will be neutered prior to adoption, and the adoption fee is $450. If you feel you would be able to provide the type of home described above, please e-mail us with a short letter describing yourself, your family living situation, your work schedule, etc. (Our e-mail address is:
[email protected])
After we receive your letter, if we feel you would be a good fit for these pups (and if we feel they would be a good fit for you) we will e-mail you an adoption application.
One more thing....PLEASE DO NOT buy from a pet store or from a "casual" breeder who advertises in the classified ads. (These Doxie pups would have been sold through a pet store had they not had demodectic mange.) Instead, consider adopting a homeless animal from a shelter or rescue group. Millions of unwanted dogs and cats are euthanized in shelters nationwide each yet. Buying a "cute little puppy" from a breeder or pet store only ENCOURAGES breeders to bring another litter of animals into the world--and to add to the pet overpopulation problem. Thank you so much!

We do not operate a humane society or shelter, so we do not have a facility that is open to the public. Our dogs are fostered by volunteers in private homes, and are not available for viewing until an adoption application is filled out and references are checked. Please read the information on our home page (by clicking on our rescue name above the photo) before contacting us.
