Terris

Terris is a 3 year old neutered tricoloured rat terrier looking for a new home due to family health reasons. His folks can no longer give Terris the exercise he needs on a daily basis. Terris is full of energy and loves playing ball, going hiking, and chasing moving objects. Lure coursing anyone? Rat terriers are super high energy hunting dogs, and this boy would love to find a home where he could get several miles running time every day. Another friendly energetic dog to play with would be bonus! Terris is house and crate trained, but like many ratties, he may mark when bored or restless. A dog door and/or a belly band would be great accessories for him in his new home. Terris has had obedience training, but he can get strong on leash, and a positive reinforcement basic training class is recommended. Dog sports like barn hunt or rally would be an additional bonus! Terris has environmental allergies to grasses and vegetation, but he is doing well on Cytopoint injections every 8 weeks. Any adopter must continue this protocol. This is a gorgeus fun candidate for an active terrier-smart home - no cats. no couch potatoes, and a fenced yard is a must. Terris is located in Lacey, Washington. His adoption fee is $200.
