Pictures taken 1/14/10. Melanie was found at the Green Acres Shopping Center, brought to the Tyler Shelter, and then transferred to us. She is extremely and sweet rarely barks. She holds her own with the big dogs here if needed over protecting her food dish. She is in heat right now, so we will have to wait a week or so before having her spayed. Her description does not appear in the lost book at the Tyler Shelter, so we assume no one is looking for her. Her fur feels like a Shar Pei and she has the wrinkly skin around her neck and head, but her colors resemble the Podengo or Basenji. Since she does not have a curled tail, I chose the Podengo for her breed.
