This cutie is Thor! Thor is an approximately 4-year old male Maltese mix and weighs around 12 lbs. He was rescued from a very neglectful situation. Thor can be guarded when meeting new people, which is very understanding coming from a neglectful and abusive background. But, once he has earned your trust, he will be your life-time best friend! He has made improvement recently on greeting new people, but will require patience and understanding from an adopter. Due to Thor’s reticence when meeting new people, a home without young children is required! Thor's ideal home would be with someone who does not have many visitors and is home most of the time. This kid would be your constant companion and keep you company. He is good with most dogs but would be content to be the only dog in the home. But, if you want a buddy that will adore you and never leave your side, then Thor is your man! A securely fenced yard is required! Thor is a playful kid so someone who can play with him would be wonderful! Thor will need continued assistance with house training. He is crate and leash trained. He will need regular grooming and since he is not cooperative, he does need sedation during grooming (this involves giving him some meds the night before a grooming and the morning of the grooming).
