Meet Trek, a male, 1-year-old Border Collie and Labrador Retriever Mix. He weighs 54 pounds.
Trek arrived at the shelter as a stray. He had been roaming the streets on his own for quite a while (the exact time is unknown), until he was finally trapped and brought to safety! He is a bit unsure of everything, but he is friendly and eager to learn! With some time, patience, and love, we are sure that Trek will blossom into an incredible dog!
Trek will need an indoor home and a secure containment area to stay safe from wandering and escaping. Positive reinforcement, fear-free training will be needed. Daily exercise and mental enrichment will be very important. If you have other dogs in your home, we would be happy to arrange a meet and greet with your dog(s) to make sure everyone gets along. We do not know how he will do with cats.
Trek is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, neutered, and ready to go home today.
