Ty is a big, friendly guy who needs a home where his energetic approach to life
will be channeled and enjoyed. Aged about 5 years, he weighs in at a
solid 83-84 lbs.
Because of his size and strength he'll make a great
watchdog, but there isn't a mean bone in this fellow's body. In
fact, he is so mellow that when the neighbor's 10 lb Toy Aussie
Shepherd bosses him around, Ty backs right down and says "Yes Sirree." He is very affectionate with his people and likes to stay close (he'd be a huge lap dog, if he could!), loves to run and play, adores car rides, and knows several commands, including sit, stay, no, back away, shake, and down. Ty walks perfectly like a gentleman on his gentle leader.
This beautiful dog's former owner is disabled, and he is just too much
for her to handle. While his spirit is gentle, his body is bouncy! She
has asked us to help Ty find a home with people who will give him the
training, exercise and loving attention he needs.
Ty gets along well with other dogs and livestock, and although he will chase cats, he is currently living with a cat in reasonable harmony.
Like all
Mikey's chance dogs, he will come to you neutered, microchipped, and
with all his shots up to date. At present he is fostered near Ellensburg,
WA, but we will work with his adopters to transport him anyplace within
the Pacific NW. Ty's adoption fee is $125.
