Velvet

UPDATE!! After spending a few weeks in foster care, Velvet has started housetraining and learning her indoor manners. Her foster mom says she is a real love bug and wants to always be around the family . . . like all Newfie's do. They are such wonderful family pets, gentle with children and other animals, yet large and intimidating as protectors. Come see Velvet at the shelter to see if she might be the addition that makes your family complete!

Currently in foster care, Velvet is receiving love and attention from a family that already has a Newfie! She is an adorable fluff ball right now, but she is expected to get as large as 140 pounds . . . that's not a dog for just anyone. Newfies make wonderful pets that like to be a real part of the family. They are extremely loving and patient puppies, easy to housebreak, and are very laid-back as adults. Velvet should be available within the next 2-3 weeks!

Adoption Fee: $85 which includes microchipping, spay/neuter, heartworm test, shots, worming. Cash or check only -- we do not take credit cards. Staff and volunteers socialize and work with the dogs on a daily basis. Most are leash trained and kennel trained upon adoption. We have really great dogs just waiting to be your new best friend!

We need volunteers and foster homes. Please email or call us , or just simply drop by, if you are interested in volunteering or fostering. These animals would love to have you come out and take them for a walk, or just sit and pet them.

Adoption Hours:

Tuesday through Saturday, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

CLOSED ON SUNDAYS & MONDAYS
