Weezy

We are told that 2 year old Weezy is most likely a purebred bloodhound but we aren't experts on bloodlines so she may have some kind of coonhound in her background also. She has really settled into her foster home and seems to be an easy keeper. Here's what her fostermom says about her: I have her off leash and trained to the electric fence and she is doing great! In fact she really calmed down once she had free run...it's almost as if the leash made her a little frantic. She has been inside a lot too and she just curls up on the rug and sleeps like she's been an inside dog before. No accidents inside at all! So I would say she is house broken.

Weezy has a really sweet temperament...gets along great with the other dogs and is quite laid back. I have yet to hear her bark at anything. She loves attention and to be petted, but isn't at all pushy about it. The SPCA vet seemed to think she was a pure blood hound, but she may be a black and tan coon hound...they look an awful lot alike to me. She sits, downs and even shakes, but she doesn't come all that well when called...she sort of wanders over when she's ready! But she just got this new name a few days ago, so she may not even know she's being called! We have been calling her Weezie (formally Louise) as initially that seemed to perk up her ears! AND what ears she has...big ole long velvety wings. I can see why someone would want this type of dog, despite the occasional slobber shower, she really is endearing with her sad doe eyes! I am going to try and fatten her up- she is very malnutritioned and needs to gain weight.
