My Story

I have become a very healthy and happy boy since being rescued by ARF. My legs have healed nicely and the nasty heartworm has been successfully treated. I live with two female dogs and we have great play time together. We go for walks twice a day off and on leash. I am now mostly on leash because I do tend to protect “my girls” when other dogs meet us. My foster mom realizes that now that I have my health and confidence back I sometimes like to “strutt my stuff”. I still enjoy my feet being wiped when coming in from outside; I really love the hugs and rubs that come with it and advertise the fact with my love growls. No need for a crate because I sleep soundly during the night and there are never any accidents during the day. If I need to go outside I have no problem letting someone know. My foster mom believes that I am similar to Sprite, another unique ARF canine, in the fact that I like to know who I am playing with. I need a gentle and proper introduction to other canines. I like to be the “main man” but am comfortable with my regular playmates. I know that I am lucky to have a second chance for love and happiness and am very grateful. I hope my future forever family can accept me for myself. To apply to meet me please click the AFOPT ME icon beside my photo on www.arfontario.com
