Willow

Willow is a very sweet and affectionate lap dog. She, along with several other dogs, was rescued from a puppy mill. She was kept outside, in horrible conditions. Since arriving at PAWS she has been nothing bur grateful for her 2 square meals a day, play time, room to run, a warm and soft place to sleep, and of course the baths and grooming.
When Willow first arrived it was obvious that she had been kept with other dogs who bullied her. She wouldn't eat food out of a bowl, only what dropped on the floor. She has since learned that she gets a food bowl all to herself. She can be a little protective over her toys when it comes to the other dogs, but doesn't mind for her person to take them from her.
Willow is very content being in someone's lap, but don't be fooled, this girl LOVES to RUN, and would be thrilled to go to a home with a fenced in yard! Willow would do best in a home with older children since she is so small - only 6 lbs! Her new owners will need to groom and bath her regularly so that her hair does not become matted. Because we were told she has Coton in her, her new owners should be aware that these dogs are often allergic to Wheat and Corn and should be fed a brand of dog food that does not contain these ingredients - currently she is on Nature's Recipe.

Our adoption process:
It is our goal to match each animal with the most compatible home, based on their personality and temperament. In order to do this we ask that all potential adopters fill out an adoption interview, as well as talk with a staff member about what they are looking for in a new pet. By doing this we can better match adoptee with an adopter. Resulting in forever homes!
