Meet Winnie, the adorable 15-pound Chihuahua wiener dog in search of his forever home! Hi, I’m Winnie, just a whittle little guy with a big heart. I adore long walks because I’m naturally curious and love exploring. When I'm not sniffing around, I enjoy being cradled like a baby—just a jump with my little paw and I’m there! Cuddling is my absolute favorite; it’s practically my middle name. I’m a champion sleeper too, never stirring in the middle of the night. In my foster home, I have a medium-sized doggie best friend, and we're inseparable. We share everything and do everything together—it’s double the fun! Food-wise, I’m not fussy at all—I’m just happy to have a meal with my human pals. I will do a funny little dance for treats. When my humans aren’t home I nap in my kennel like a good boy. Our application process includes landlord approval and vet checks. Please make sure all of your information is current and accurate, including a valid email address and phone numbers. Inaccuracies and/or incomplete data will delay and/or cancel your application. We strive to process all applications in a timely manner, but with the high volume of applications we are receiving, it is taking anywhere from 1-3 weeks. You may be contacted via email if there are concerns or questions. Once all of your information is reviewed and if your application is approved, you will be notified via email. Submitting an application and receiving an approval does not guarantee you will be adopting the dog you applied for. Once you move to the meet and greet process, you will be contacted by the foster family to further discuss the dog, and answer questions you may have, and if applicable, a meet and greet will be set up at our adoption center. Meet and greets are only set up with approved applicants, and we require all members in the household to be present, as well as any current dogs in the home. Meet and greets take place at our adoption center located in Milwaukee. If you are proceeding with adopting a Lucky Mutt, we will require the dog to have a Martingale collar at the time of adoption, to ensure the dogs safety during the transition to a new home. Current Adoption Fees Are: $400+tax for puppies to 3 years old $350+tax for ages 4-7 $250+tax for ages 8 and up Bonded pairs vary The adoption fee covers spay/neuter, up to date age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, general deworming, heartworm test, (if over 6 months) and a certified veterinary inspection. Please be aware, listed dog breeds are based on information provided and cannot be guaranteed. Submitting an application for a particular dog does not guarantee that you will be the applicant chosen, we receive several applications for each dog. Our adopters are picked based on the needs of the dog, and the home we feel with best fit based on your responses to our application, vet information and landlord requirements.
